Father's Day Gift Idea
I was never your typical Daddy's Girl, despite being an only child. As my dad's only child he could have easily spoiled me rotten but he raised me to appreciate the value of money and I had to earn most of what was given to me.

A Taste of Colorado
As a Colorado girl, it really surprises me just how much the state has grown in the previous ten years. During my time in France folks would ask me where I came from. When I said that I came from Colorado, my French friends would chuckle and say "Oh, like Doctor Quinn!"

A Season of Thanks
Ever since the 1800's, US citizens have commemorated Thanksgiving by duplicating the concept of the pilgrims and the Indians seated together for a pleasant meal. As nice as this vision of friendship may be, it is not reality. The saga of pilgrims and Indians was one of one-sided friendship.
Birth The Gift Of Life

Mother's Day Gifts That Are Useful
Useful Mothers Day Gifts
Mother’s Day as we know it is a relatively recent holiday, though it is not a “Hallmark holiday” designed to sell more cards. There are a number of Mothering day or mommy-focused holidays in history like Mothering Day in the UK, Cybele in ancient Greece, or Mothering Sunday in much of Europe.
Mother’s Day was developed by Anna Jarvis in 1912. Mother’s day was specifically chosen to be a singular possessive meaning it was meant for each family to honor their mother, not plural possessive that would be used to commemorate all the mothers of the world. Following congressional passage, It was officially established on May 9, 1914 when president Woodrow Wilson made the official announcement proclaiming Mother’s day as a national holiday to be observed on the 2nd Sunday of May.
