Ms. VanWoerkom exercised her entrepreneurial spirit and purchased Baskets by Rita in 2002. Her corporate human resource skills quickly proved invaluable in running a service business. “I knew that in order to survive we needed to be the best at customer service and in helping our customers take care of their own personal and business relationships.”
Baskets by Rita is committed to the environment. “We recycle all the boxes we receive product in, when we ship a basket we use brown recycled boxes and we us biodegradable packing peanuts”, said Van Woerkom. “It’s our small way of helping the environment.”
